Two Minutes With… Keda Clark

2 Minutes with Keda Clark our Business Support Administrator …

What do you enjoy most about your role at AFD Systems?

Honestly, what I enjoy most is how supportive and down to earth everyone is. It makes a huge difference coming into work knowing you’re part of a team that wants to help each other. My role is really varied also one minute I’m posting social media posts, the next I’m helping run payroll for the end of the month.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received at AFD Systems?

The best advice I’ve had is: ‘If something doesn’t make sense, dig deeper.’ It encouraged me not just to follow a process because it’s always been done that way, but to really understand the ‘why’ behind things. It’s helped me learn faster, spot ways to improve things, and feel much more confident in my role.

Favourite film and why?

Choosing a favourite film is tough because I like a lot of different film but also more of a series person, but I always come back to The Goonies. It was my childhood go to, and even now I still enjoy watching it.

Who is your role model? (in manufacturing/engineering/aerospace)

My role model is Gwynne Shotwell, the President and chief operating officer of SpaceX. I admire her not just for her impact on the aerospace industry, but for her leadership style and operational focus. She’s known for keeping complex teams aligned, communicating clearly, and driving efficiency.

Describe the team at AFD Systems in one word?

I would describe AFD Systems as welcoming as still being one of the newest members of staff have always felt welcome at AFD Systems.

What’s one fun fact about you that others might not know?

I have two crazy cats at home who run the house and keep me on my toes. Peanut, who has a moustache, and Pepper, who has a habit of chewing on drawer handles.
